No Mix, Ever

A margarita is three ingredients: tequila, lime, agave. That’s the entire recipe, and it’s why the drink is a masterpiece when it’s honest and a headache when it isn’t. The bottled “margarita mix” that ruined a generation of them contains neither lime juice nor shame.
How we build it
Blanco tequila — unaged, agave-forward, the way the drink wants it. Lime squeezed the same day, agave nectar to round it, shaken hard and served over ice with salt on half the rim, so every sip is a choice between bright and brighter.
Why our way is best
The flyer’s three words — bright, agave, citrus — are the whole spec, and every one of them dies the moment a bottle of mix comes off the shelf. Fresh lime costs more and takes longer, and it is not negotiable. This is the drink we point to when someone asks whether a coffee bar can run a real cocktail program: if the simplest drink is honest, the rest of the list probably is too.
